Zhejiang gives visitors province-wide access to Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou, and other cities, but it should not be mixed with Shanghai or Jiangsu under one 240-hour entry.
Zhejiang is useful for visitors who want a province-wide eastern China medical itinerary with multiple city options. Hangzhou offers major university-affiliated hospitals and private healthcare growth. Ningbo and Wenzhou add coastal city options that may be better for visitors with family, business, or travel routes outside Shanghai. The region can work for planned outpatient reviews, checkups, specialist consultations, and follow-up visits where the visitor wants to avoid the highest-density Shanghai market.
Under 240-hour transit rules, Zhejiang entry allows travel within Zhejiang province. It does not allow visitors to cross into Shanghai, Jiangsu, Fujian, or other provinces for hospital appointments during the same stay. This is especially important because Hangzhou and Shanghai are close by rail, and visitors may wrongly assume they can use both. The allowed stay area should be checked before booking appointments in different cities.
The hospital list favors facilities with official information, recognizable specialty departments, and service signals that help foreign visitors plan. Zhejiang itineraries should be built around one main city when possible. If multiple cities are needed, confirm travel time, appointment spacing, and report pickup rules so the medical purpose is not compromised by transport.
Zhejiang 240-hour access does not include Shanghai, Jiangsu, Fujian, or other provinces. Short rail distance does not override the stay boundary.
