The Second Affiliated Hospital & Yuying Children's Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University

The Second Affiliated Hospital & Yuying Children's Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University was established in 1976, formerly known as the "Wenzhou Medical College Bethune Outpatient Department." It is a provincial tertiary A-level comprehensive hospital in Zhejiang Province, operating under the unique management system of "one team, two signboards." The hospital upholds the motto of "Integrity, Dedication, Excellence, and Innovation" and aims to become "a distinctive, domestically first-class research university hospital and national regional medical center." Currently, the hospital has 14 disciplines (departments), 89 clinical departments (teaching and research offices), 186 subspecialties, and over 130 specialized outpatient clinics, with 2,667 authorized beds and over 4,000 employees, including nearly 600 senior professionals and 27 doctoral supervisors. The hospital operates multiple campuses including Lucheng Campus (Xueyuan Road and Nanpu), Longwan Campus, Oujiangkou Campus, and Taizhou Campus, forming a pattern of coordinated multi-campus development. Pediatric Respiratory Medicine is a National Clinical Key Specialty, and Rehabilitation Medicine is a Key Construction Specialty under the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine's "12th Five-Year Plan." Pediatrics, Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesiology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology are designated as Zhejiang Province's Most Critical Clinical Medicine First-Level Disciplines. In the 2019 Fudan University China Hospital Ranking, the hospital ranked 99th overall, with Pediatrics, Orthopedic Surgery, and Allergy/Immunology ranking 18th, 22nd, and 23rd nationally respectively. As the Second Clinical College of Wenzhou Medical University, the hospital holds a doctoral degree authorization point for Clinical Medicine and a postdoctoral research station. It is a National Standardized Residency Training Base, having developed the distinctive "Wenzhou Medical Second Hospital Residency Training Model." The hospital undertakes multi-level medical talent training for undergraduates, graduate students, and international students, annually accepting nearly 100 medical students from Australia, Austria, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and other countries for clinical internships, and has established friendly institutional partnerships with over a dozen countries including the US, Japan, UK, Germany, and Austria.
