Children's Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (Zhejiang Children's Hospital, Zhejiang Child Health Hospital) is the largest comprehensive children's medical center in Zhejiang Province, a national tertiary Grade-A children's specialty hospital, and a National Pediatrics Key Discipline Construction Unit. Established in 1951 as the former Zhejiang Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, the hospital has developed over more than seventy years into a modern children's hospital integrating medical care, scientific research, teaching, prevention, and rehabilitation, shouldering the vital mission of safeguarding children's health in Zhejiang and surrounding regions. Upholding the service philosophy of "Caring for Children, Protecting Life" and inheriting over seventy years of pediatric medical heritage, the hospital is one of the most influential children's specialty hospitals in China. With three campuses (Hubin, Binjiang, and Moganshan), over 2,000 authorized beds, and more than 40 clinical departments including Neonatology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, Pediatric Respiratory Medicine, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Nephrology, and Pediatric Endocrinology, the hospital employs over 3,000 medical staff. The Neonatology Department houses one of the earliest Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in China, established in cooperation with the American HOPE Foundation, with neonatal care capabilities leading nationwide. Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Surgery are National Clinical Key Specialties, with extensive experience in interventional treatment for congenital heart disease and minimally invasive surgery. The hospital actively conducts international medical cooperation, with the International Medical Department providing outpatient and inpatient services for foreign children. The hospital has established partnerships with Loma Linda University Children's Hospital, Seattle Children's Hospital, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and Children's Hospital Los Angeles (USA), and The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto (Canada), with direct billing cooperation with Ping An Health Insurance, MSH, and Medilink-Global (Beijing). As the clinical college of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, the hospital trains doctoral and master's students, handles over 3 million annual outpatient visits, and has received honors including National Civilized Unit, Zhejiang Provincial Civilized Unit, and National May 1st Labor Medal.
