About the Hospital
Ningbo Medical Center Lihuili Hospital is a public tertiary Grade-A general hospital built with donations from the renowned Hong Kong philanthropist Mr. Li Huili and co-constructed with the Ningbo Municipal Government. Since its establishment in 1993, the hospital has developed into the core hospital of Ningbo Medical Center and one of the first tertiary Grade-A hospitals in Ningbo, undertaking important responsibilities in medical treatment, preventive healthcare, scientific research, and teaching for Ningbo and its surrounding areas. The hospital has ranked among the top in the national public hospital performance assessment for four consecutive years. The hospital currently has two campuses, Xingning Campus and Eastern Campus, with qualifications for liver, kidney, lung, and heart transplantation. Key specialties include cardiac and vascular surgery, general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, and gastroenterology, with the Department of Critical Care Medicine awarded the Zhejiang Provincial Youth Civilization Unit in 2022. In 2018, the hospital established its International Medical Department, becoming one of the second batch of international medical service demonstration units in Ningbo. The International Medical Department provides foreign-related medical services including English translation, full appointment service, full guided consultation, and direct billing settlement, covering internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, ENT, dermatology, stomatology, rehabilitation, renal replacement therapy, traditional Chinese medicine, psychology, and other specialties. Most physicians in the team have study and work experience in European and American hospitals, providing international patients with independent consultation spaces and a private, comfortable medical environment. The hospital has signed direct billing agreements with domestic and international high-end commercial medical insurance companies, with a registration fee of RMB 500 per person for international VIP and contracted VIP clinics.
