The Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (referred to as "ZJU4H") is a tertiary A-level comprehensive hospital directly affiliated with Zhejiang University, established in October 2014, located in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province - the world's largest small commodity distribution center. As a hospital jointly built by Zhejiang University and Yiwu Municipal Government, in 2020 it formed a "three-in-one" development pattern with Zhejiang University "Belt and Road" International Medical School and Zhejiang University International Health Medical Research Institute, shouldering the vital mission of healthcare services for central Zhejiang region and international business people. Upholding Zhejiang University's medical spirit and committed to building an international high-level hospital, it ranked 77th nationwide in the 2022 tertiary public hospital performance assessment, receiving A+ rating for four consecutive years. The hospital has 27 functional departments including the General Administration Department, 31 clinical departments, and 7 medical technology departments, with sufficient authorized beds and a continuously expanding medical staff team. Key specialties include the Lung Cancer Center, Emergency Trauma Center, Heart Center, Reproductive Medicine Center, Brain Center, Spine Surgery, and Joint Surgery, among which the Laboratory Department was selected as a national clinical key specialty construction project, and the "3D-printed collar" lung cancer treatment technology developed by Wang Kai's team at the Lung Cancer Center was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation's key project. As the first hospital in central Zhejiang to pass JCI accreditation, the hospital opened an international outpatient clinic in 2016, serving over 26,500 foreign patients in 2025, ranking first in the province for foreign patient visits, covering 188 countries and regions. The hospital has a team of foreign doctors (including Yemeni doctor Amar and others), providing bilingual medical services, dedicated nurse accompaniment, multilingual signage, and other international services, with direct billing partnerships with multiple international medical insurance companies. As the teaching hospital of Zhejiang University "Belt and Road" International Medical School, it undertakes multi-level medical talent training for undergraduates, graduate students, and residents. In 2025, medical cooperation and exchanges were conducted with countries including Kazakhstan and Ghana, serving as an important window for international medical services in Zhejiang Province.
