Zhongda Hospital, Southeast University was founded in 1935 and is a university-affiliated hospital directly under the Ministry of Education, focusing on "Double First-Class" Category A, "985 Project" and "211 Project" key construction. It is also one of the first comprehensive tertiary Grade A hospitals in Jiangsu Province to pass the Ministry of Health evaluation. After nearly ninety years of development, the hospital has become a large-scale comprehensive teaching hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research. It received an A+ rating in the national tertiary public hospital performance assessment and has been honored as one of the first batch of "National People's Rest Assured Demonstration Hospitals," a Ministry of Health Digital Hospital Pilot Demonstration Unit, a Jiangsu Province "Civilized Unit," and a National Clinical Teaching Demonstration Center. The hospital has one academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and over 480 senior professional titles. With 2,499 approved beds, it operates the main campus and Jiangbei campus. The diagnosis and treatment levels in critical care medicine, imaging diagnosis and interventional therapy, kidney diseases, and cardiovascular diseases are always at the leading position in China, with 7 national key clinical specialty construction projects and 30 provincial key clinical specialties. The Critical Care Medicine Department is a national key clinical specialty and Jiangsu Critical Care Medicine Center with rich experience in critical illness treatment. Medical Imaging and Interventional Radiology is a national key clinical specialty, housing four national-level research platforms including the National Key Laboratory of Digital Medicine, the National Medical Tackling Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform for "Interventional Medical Engineering," the National Major New Drug Creation GCP Platform, and Stem Cell Clinical Research. Cardiology, Nephrology, and Hematology are Jiangsu Provincial Medical Key Disciplines.
