About the Hospital
Wuxi Mingci Cardiovascular Hospital is Jiangsu Province's first tertiary cardiovascular specialty hospital and the province's first Sino-German technology cooperation hospital specializing in cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. In October 2014, the hospital signed a cooperation agreement with the Heart and Diabetes Center NRW (HDZ) in Germany, with an investment of 800 million RMB, and officially opened in January 2016. The campus has a building area of nearly 70,000 square meters with a 23-story main building, featuring 450 planned beds, 6 operating rooms (including 1 hybrid operating room), and 4 catheterization labs. The Heart Center serves as the core specialty department, comprising 5 cardiac medicine wards, cardiac surgery, and specialized centers for chest pain, atrial fibrillation, and heart failure, alongside the Digestive Disease Center, Endocrinology Center, Health Management Center, and Rehabilitation Center, with over 480 employees. As a strategic partner in Sino-German technology cooperation, the hospital has maintained deep collaboration with German HDZ for over eight years, with German expert teams stationed year-round, including specialists from the former University of Hamburg Medical School and Hesse Children's Heart Center, successfully treating international cases including 11 Mongolian children with congenital heart disease.
