Suzhou Kowloon Hospital (affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine) is a Sino-foreign joint venture tertiary Grade A comprehensive hospital approved by the Ministry of Health in May 2003, invested by Hong Kong Kowloon Group with 1.35 billion RMB and managed in cooperation with Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. The hospital officially opened in 2006, covering an area of 113,000 m² with a construction area of 213,000 m², 1,500 approved beds, and 1,769 employees. As Suzhou's first national-level Chest Pain Center (2014) and one of the first batch in Jiangsu Province, the hospital excels in provincial key clinical specialties including Cardiology and Neurosurgery, with academician workstations established by Ge Junbo (Cardiovascular) and Zhou Liangfu (Neurosurgery, in cooperation with Shanghai Huashan Hospital). Adhering to a patient-centered service philosophy, the hospital operates a Special Medical Department with multilingual staff proficient in Chinese, English, Korean and Japanese, providing international-standard medical services, English reports and medical certificates, and direct billing cooperation with over 16 insurance companies. As an affiliated hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, it undertakes medical talent training with 5 provincial and 11 municipal key clinical specialties, and has been honored as a China Chest Pain Center Demonstration Base, Atrial Fibrillation Center, Heart Failure Center, Pan-vascular Disease Management Center (under construction), Jiangsu Mother-Infant Friendly Hospital, Jiangsu Baby-Friendly Hospital, Suzhou Stroke Center, Suzhou Critical Maternal Care Center, and Suzhou Trauma Center.
