About the Hospital
The Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University is a historic Grade A tertiary comprehensive hospital serving the Nantong region. As an International Emergency Rescue Center Network Hospital and Jiangsu Provincial Comprehensive Emergency Medical Rescue Base, it has accumulated extensive experience in international emergency medical rescue. Adhering to a "patient-centered" service philosophy, the hospital operates West and East campuses and holds the distinction of being a National Key Clinical Specialty Construction Unit, Jiangsu Provincial Regional Medical Center, and one of the Top Ten Medical Innovation Centers in Jiangsu Province. The hospital features two flagship departments: the Neurological Disease Center, a National Key Clinical Specialty Construction Unit comprising five specialties including neurosurgery, neurology, neuro-intervention, neuro-critical care, and neuro-rehabilitation with 455 beds, houses the National Neuroendoscopy Physician Training Base, National Neurological Disease Clinical Medical Center, and National Advanced Stroke Center, with its emergency stroke unit leading the province and achieving a DNT interval of just 20 minutes and over 250 annual neuroendoscopy surgeries; and the Hand Surgery department, serving as Jiangsu Provincial Hand Surgery Clinical Medical Center and Clinical Medical Research Center, led by internationally renowned hand surgery expert Professor Tang Jinbo with over 110 beds, achieving international leadership in tendon repair and reconstruction. As an affiliated hospital of Nantong University, it plays a vital role in medical talent training, with 24-hour emergency services supporting regional healthcare and international emergency rescue operations.
