About the Hospital
Nantong First People's Hospital (Affiliated Nantong First People's Hospital of Southeast University) is a national Grade A tertiary comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, teaching, scientific research, and health management. With a rich historical heritage, the hospital entered a new phase of development following the official opening of its new campus on December 23, 2022. As Nantong International Friendship Hospital and International Emergency Rescue Center Network Hospital, it has accumulated extensive experience in international medical services. The new campus covers 281 mu with a total construction area of 414,200 square meters and 2,600 planned beds, featuring 52 wards, 33 clinical specialties, 21 medical technology departments, 50 specialty clinics, and 151 disease-specific clinics. The hospital employs 2,738 staff members, including 476 with senior professional titles and 121 master's and doctoral supervisors. In terms of academic development, the hospital has one provincial medical key discipline in human immunology and 20 provincial clinical key specialties including cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, gynecology, medical imaging and interventional radiology, and medical laboratory science, with the TCM department rated as a National Demonstration TCM Ward. The hospital operates five provincial treatment centers covering chest pain, trauma, stroke, critical maternal care, and critical neonatal care. In the 2023 National Tertiary Public Hospital Performance Monitoring, it achieved an A+ rating, ranking in the top 10% nationwide, with nursing having previously ranked 15th nationally and 1st in the province. As an affiliated hospital of Southeast University, Nantong Clinical College of Nantong University, and Teaching Hospital and Graduate Training Base of Nanjing Medical University, it undertakes multi-level medical talent training, housing a National Postdoctoral Research Workstation, National Standardized Residency Training Base, and National Clinical Pharmacist Training Base.
