The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University Guizhou Hospital is a National Regional Medical Center project, jointly established by The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University, located in Gui'an New District, Huaxi District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, with the Special Needs International Medical Center officially opening in September 2025. The hospital inherits the brand, technology, talent, and management advantages from The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, leveraging its top-ten national ranking in the Fudan Hospital Rankings to bring national-level quality medical resources to Guizhou. Phase I has a total construction area of 374,700 square meters, 1,499 planned beds, and total investment of 4.931 billion yuan, featuring key specialties including Nephrology, Cardiac Surgery, Critical Care Medicine, and Multi-disciplinary Comprehensive Diagnosis. In March 2025, 32 experts from The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University were "transplanted with soil" to Guizhou, with core experts serving at the Special Needs International Medical Center. The Special Needs International Medical Center covers a total area of 8,726 square meters, with 14 consultation rooms, independent pharmacy, registration and payment windows, ECG room, ultrasound room, and special needs waiting area. A "1+N" special needs medical service team provides full-process accompanying diagnosis and treatment services, forming a complete service chain of "appointment-diagnosis-care-education-follow-up". VIP wards feature independent access channels, including special needs obstetric wards, special needs general practice wards, and special needs comprehensive wards.
