Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Guizhou Hospital is a National Regional Medical Center project jointly built by Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM and Guizhou Province, officially unveiled on February 11, 2023, and fully opened on December 20, 2023. As the fifth batch of National Regional Medical Center projects, the hospital fully implements the "four transfers" strategy of brand, management, technology, and talent, achieving deep homogenization development. The hospital adopts a "one hospital, two campuses" model, with 900 beds in the Nanming Campus (450 in phase I operational, 450 in phase II under construction) and 800 beds planned for the Guanshanhu Campus, totaling 1,700 beds. Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM traces its origins to the clinical teaching clinic established in 1933 by the Guangdong School of Chinese Medicine, making it one of the earliest traditional Chinese medicine hospitals founded in modern Chinese history, acclaimed as "First in Southern China's Apricot Forest." The hospital's annual patient service volume has ranked first among Chinese medicine hospitals nationwide for over 20 consecutive years, and it has topped the national Chinese medicine hospital competitiveness rankings for 10 consecutive years. The hospital boasts 1 academician, 2 National Masters of TCM, 2 National Famous TCM Doctors, 5 Qihuang Scholars, and 41 provincial-level Famous TCM Doctors. It houses multiple national-level research platforms, including the Province-Ministry Joint State Key Laboratory of TCM Dampness Syndrome and the State Key Laboratory of TCM Syndromes. The Guizhou Hospital relies on the strong foundation of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of TCM. In three years of operation, it has served 19,132 patients from outside the province and abroad, introduced 91 new technologies and procedures (9 first in Southwest China, 28 first in Guizhou), and achieved a patient satisfaction rate of 97.66%, providing high-level TCM diagnosis and treatment services for patients in Guizhou and surrounding areas.
