About the Hospital
Guiqian International General Hospital (GIGH) is the largest single-building mixed-ownership tertiary comprehensive hospital in Southwest China, located at No. 1 Dongfeng Avenue, Wudang District, Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. Established in August 2019 with state-owned capital holding 63% and total investment of 3.5 billion yuan, the hospital covers an area of 300 mu with a total construction area of 450,000 square meters, 3,000 authorized beds, and over 1,700 employees, hailed as a benchmark project for Guizhou's medical and health industry. Inheriting the core strength of over 150 experts from the former Third Military Medical University, the hospital upholds a "patient-centered" service philosophy, featuring key specialties including Cardiovascular Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Abdominal Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Oncology, Interventional Radiology, and Nephrology. The International Department Ward is located on the 22nd floor of Inpatient Building C with 35 single rooms (including deluxe suites), open to all hospital departments. The first foreign patient (French national Jean Cardinall) visiting the Nephrology Department highly commended the international medical services. The hospital is equipped with the fourth-generation da Vinci surgical robot (the first in Guizhou), PET/CT, 3.0T silent MRI, Varian Vital Beam medical linear accelerator, world-class hybrid operating rooms, and 60 central operating rooms (including 10 Class-100 laminar flow operating rooms). GIGH has established a sister hospital strategic partnership with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in the UK and signed multiple international medical experts as visiting professors.
