Shanghai Children's Medical Center Guizhou Hospital is a National Regional Medical Center project, inaugurated in April 2023, established by Shanghai Children's Medical Center (a component of the National Children's Medical Center) and operated in partnership with Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital. The hospital operates two campuses — Guanshanhu Campus with 1,000 beds and 20+ clinical departments, and Nanming Campus with 2,000 approved beds and 3,000 operational beds. The parent hospital, Shanghai Children's Medical Center, has topped the national tertiary public hospital performance evaluation in pediatrics for three consecutive years and became China's first children's specialty hospital to obtain JCI international accreditation in 2010. Shanghai has deployed nearly 70 resident specialists and over 150 short-term experts, introduced 64 new medical technologies, and attracted over 32,000 out-of-province patients. The hospital specializes in pediatric cardiology, hematology and oncology, and developmental behavioral pediatrics, successfully treating Southwest China's first pediatric aortic dissection case and performing Guizhou's smallest-age Tetralogy of Fallot surgery. The "Congtou Yue" expert service team has conducted outreach clinics across 29 counties and districts.
