About the Hospital
Yulin First People's Hospital is a comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research. Founded in 1937, it serves as the medical center for southeastern Guangxi and is the Sixth Affiliated Hospital and Sixth Clinical Medical College of Guangxi Medical University. Upholding the hospital mission of "People-oriented, Virtue and Excellence," the hospital has served the people of Yulin and surrounding areas for over 80 years as a key healthcare center in southeastern Guangxi. Covering 230.31 mu with 177,500 square meters of medical space and 1,800 authorized beds, the hospital employs over 2,400 staff members. It handles 2.86 million annual outpatient visits and 148,100 annual discharges. The hospital operates over 50 clinical and medical technology departments, with six Guangxi Clinical Key Specialties: Pediatrics, Nephrology, Critical Care Medicine, Neurology, Anesthesiology, and Nursing. The hospital holds three national center certifications: National Advanced Stroke Center, National Chest Pain Center, and National Atrial Fibrillation Center, with the latter two being among the first certified in Guangxi. It is the first National Standardized Metabolic Disease Management Center (MMC) in Guangxi and a National Stroke Screening and Prevention Base. As a network hospital of the Ministry of Health International Emergency Rescue Center and a Guangxi Air Medical Rescue Alliance hospital, it provides convenient medical services for international patients. As a teaching hospital of Guangxi Medical University, it trains undergraduate and graduate medical students. The hospital has received honors including Guangxi Civilized Unit and Yulin Advanced Unit.
