Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region People's Hospital (Guangxi Academy of Medical Sciences) is a comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research. As the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Clinical Medical Center for Rescue Medicine, it is also the largest tertiary Grade-A public hospital in Guangxi. Founded in 1941, it is one of the earliest public hospitals in Guangxi. Over eighty years, the hospital has developed the spirit of "Benevolence, Dedication, Excellence, Innovation" and the service philosophy of "Patient-centered, Quality-focused," acclaimed as Guangxi's Medical Flagship. With three campuses (Taoyuan, East, North/Yongwu), 6,600 beds, 40+ clinical departments, and 5,748 employees, the hospital holds 8 National Clinical Key Specialties, among the most in Guangxi. Leading specialties include Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Nursing, and Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, with strong capabilities in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) consultation. The International Medical Department, established in May 2020, offers renowned expert clinics, exclusive inpatient center, and health management center, adopting a general + specialty model with 15 experienced physicians providing one-stop services, supporting international insurance direct billing and remote consultation, "based in Guangxi, radiating to ASEAN." As Guangxi Academy of Medical Sciences, the hospital has an Academician Workstation (Yu Jinming) and joint laboratories with Academicians Dong Jiahong and Zhou Honghao.
