The First People's Hospital of Hechi

The First People's Hospital of Hechi was founded in 1929, formerly known as Yishan Branch of Liujiang Public Hospital, located in Yizhou District, Hechi City, Guangxi, the hometown of Liu Sanjie, the legendary Zhuang folk singer. It is a national tertiary Grade-A comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, emergency care, teaching, scientific research, prevention, healthcare, and rehabilitation. The hospital covers an area of 57,000 square meters, with a business building area of 69,000 square meters, 1,050 approved beds, 31 major clinical departments, 10 medical technology departments, and 23 administrative departments. The hospital has more than 1,500 employees, including 1,293 health technicians, more than 250 with senior professional titles, and more than 480 with intermediate professional titles. The hospital is the Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities, the First Clinical Medical College of Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities in Hechi City, a National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Sentinel Hospital, a Network Hospital of the International Emergency Rescue Center, and a Grade-A Clinical Teaching Base for Medical Colleges in Guangxi. Orthopedics, cardiovascular medicine, gynecology, gastroenterology, and general surgery are rated as municipal clinical key specialties. In August 2021, the Chest Pain Center (Standard Version) was certified by the National Chest Pain Center Headquarters. The hospital has been awarded the Second-Class Merit for the Health System in the Region, Advanced Unit for Science and Technology Work in Guangxi Health System, Guangxi May 1st Labor Medal, and other honorary titles. The annual outpatient and emergency volume is about 660,000 visits, annual discharges are about 40,000 patients, and annual surgeries are more than 8,500.
