Huashan Hospital Fujian (The First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, Binhai Campus) is a National Regional Medical Center fully operated by Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, undertaking the national mission of elevating medical service capabilities in Fujian and surrounding regions. Founded in 1937 with support from overseas Chinese leader Hu Wenhu, the hospital has developed over nearly 90 years and now comprises three campuses (Chating, Binhai, Aoti) and Minnan Hospital, with a total of 4,500 authorized beds and 5,506 staff members. The Binhai Campus has 1,700 authorized beds. Drawing on Huashan Hospital's century-old medical heritage and brand excellence, the hospital upholds the service philosophy of "Patient First" and has transferred national clinical key specialties including neurosurgery, dermatology, and infectious diseases from Huashan Hospital, maintaining national leadership in neurological diseases, skin diseases, and infectious disease diagnosis and treatment. The hospital has 9 national clinical key specialties and multiple provincial clinical key specialties. The Binhai Campus opened in May 2021, and in August 2022, Fujian Province's first International Medical Department was inaugurated here, providing "one-stop" services for overseas Chinese and foreign nationals, offering bilingual translation, English medical records, and one-on-one accompaniment services. The hospital partners with Fujian Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation's "Huiqiaotong" platform for online quick appointments, supports international medical insurance direct billing, and serves as a National Health Commission residency training base. In May 2025, the hospital was awarded the 7th National Civilized Unit title.
