The First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University

The First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University, founded in 1937, is Fujian Province's first public Western medicine hospital. It is now a tertiary A-level comprehensive hospital, a high-level hospital in Fujian Province, a National Difficult Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Capacity Improvement Project hospital, and the leading unit of China's Rare Disease Collaboration Network in Fujian. The hospital operates two campuses: Chatang Campus and Binhai Campus. The Binhai Campus, in collaboration with Huashan Hospital of Fudan University, has established the National Regional Medical Center—Huashan Hospital Fujian, bringing together over 700 expert professors with 18 clinical supporting disciplines in the first phase. The hospital has 15 provincial clinical key specialties, with strong capabilities in Neurology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Dermatology, Orthopedics, and General Surgery. As early as 1987, the hospital co-founded the "Overseas Chinese Medical Service Center" with the Fujian Provincial Overseas Chinese Federation, earning the reputation of "Home of Overseas Chinese" with 37 years of service experience. In November 2021, the International Medical Department of Huashan Hospital Fujian was established and officially inaugurated in August 2022, becoming Fujian's first international medical department serving overseas Chinese and international friends. Upholding the philosophy of "Excellence in Healthcare, Premium Service," it provides one-on-one full-process accompaniment, Chinese-English bilingual translation, English medical record writing, MDT multidisciplinary joint outpatient services, and other "one-stop" medical services, having served over 1,000 overseas Chinese and more than 400 foreign friends. The International Medical Department features independent consultation rooms, blood collection rooms, infusion rooms, and pharmacy, with inpatient wards including double rooms, single rooms, and suites, supporting direct billing with commercial insurance. Through the "Huiqiaotong" platform and hospital WeChat official account, it provides convenient appointment services, serving as reliable healthcare support for overseas Chinese returning home and a new showcase card for Fuzhou.
