Kunming Yan'an Hospital (Yunnan Cardiovascular Hospital) is a comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research. As the National Heart Transplant Center approved by the National Health Commission and one of the three National Intervention Training Base, it is also the cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment center of Yunnan Province. The hospital was formerly Shanghai Yan'an Hospital and relocated to Kunming in 1970 in response to the national call, having developed cardiovascular specialty for decades with the hospital spirit of "Benevolent Heart and Skill, Dedication and Excellence" and acclaimed as "the Highland of Cardiovascular Diagnosis and Treatment in Southwest China." Located at 245 Renmin East Road, Kunming, covering 78 acres, the hospital has 1,498 approved beds and 40 clinical departments. It holds the National Heart Transplant Center, Coronary Heart Disease Intervention Training Base, Structural Heart Disease Intervention Training Base, Arrhythmia Intervention Training Base, Stroke Screening Base, and other national platforms, with 2 National Clinical Key Specialties and 20 Provincial Key Disciplines. Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiovascular Surgery are the leading specialties, with advanced technology in heart transplantation, coronary intervention, structural heart disease intervention, and arrhythmia intervention.
