Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture People's Hospital is a comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research. As the affiliated hospital of Kunming University of Science and Technology and a construction unit of the China-Laos Healthcare Service Cooperation, it serves Xishuangbanna Prefecture and surrounding areas. Founded in September 1952, the hospital is located at 4 Galan South Road, Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, covering 171 acres with a building area of 170,000 square meters, 1,000 approved beds (actually 1,200 open), and over 1,400 employees. It holds 1 National Clinical Key Specialty Construction Project in Gastroenterology and 8 Provincial Clinical Key Specialties, with leading specialties in Critical Care Medicine, Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, and Cardiology. The hospital has established cooperation with 7 medical institutions in Laos as part of the China-Laos Healthcare Service Cooperation, a National Health Commission ASEAN 10+1 project, with medical services radiating to Laos, Myanmar, and Northern Thailand, treating over 3,000 overseas patients annually and acclaimed as "a successful model of China-Laos medical cooperation." The Chest Pain Center has passed standard certification, and the Stroke Center is a National Brain Prevention Committee Advanced Stroke Center, providing acute chest pain and stroke emergency services for cross-border patients. The hospital operates a one-hospital-three-campus model with the main campus, new campus (Wanda campus), and west campus (prefecture infectious disease hospital), undertaking medical and healthcare tasks for important leaders and foreign guests. Equipped with a Laos translation team, the hospital provides one-stop cross-border medical services through green channels for overseas patients.
