First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a Grade A tertiary TCM hospital and a designated construction unit for the National TCM Medical Center, bearing the national mission of inheriting and developing traditional Chinese medicine. With South Campus and North Campus, the hospital brings together top TCM talents represented by Academician Shi Xuemin, including 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 National TCM Masters, and 5 National Famous TCM Doctors. The Acupuncture Department is the hospital's flagship specialty—serving as the National Clinical Research Center for Acupuncture, it is renowned worldwide for Academician Shi Xuemin's pioneering "Xingnao Kaiqiao" (consciousness-restoring) acupuncture technique, which has demonstrated remarkable efficacy in treating stroke and other neurological conditions.
