Changsha Maternal and Child Health Hospital, founded in 1962, is a tertiary Grade-A maternal and child health hospital integrating prevention, healthcare, medical treatment, rehabilitation, research, and teaching. It is affiliated with Hunan Normal University. The hospital has 1,400 staff members, including 321 with senior professional titles and 384 with master's or doctoral degrees. Operating under a "Four Major Departments" management model comprising Maternal Health Department, Women's Health Department, Child Health Department, and Clinical Comprehensive Department, the hospital has 7 Hunan Provincial Key Specialty confirmation projects (Gynecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Reproductive Medicine, Genetics, Anesthesiology, and Nursing). In 2022, the hospital ranked 9th nationally in the performance assessment of tertiary maternal and child health institutions, achieving the highest A++ rating. In 2024, it was awarded "National Health System Ideological and Political Work Benchmark Unit" and "Hunan Provincial Public Hospital High-Quality Development Demonstration Hospital." The hospital recorded 920,000 outpatient visits and nearly 13,000 deliveries in 2024. The hospital has an International Medical Department and has established a China-France Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Technology Cooperation Center with Nimes University-affiliated Carimo Central Hospital in France. The West Campus (Changsha Second Hospital) is located at No. 8 Lusong Road, Yuelu District.
