About the Hospital
Laibin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in August 1958 and is the first tertiary Grade-A TCM hospital in Laibin City. In 2011, it was additionally designated as "Laibin Yao Medicine Hospital" and "Laibin Institute of Ethnic Medicine," becoming an important base for ethnic medicine research in Guangxi. The hospital covers an area of 50 mu with a building area of 47,510 square meters, has 420 beds, and employs 578 staff members including 41 with senior associate titles and 168 with intermediate titles. Approved as a national tertiary Grade-A TCM hospital in 2014, it established a紧密型医联体 with the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine in 2017 and was designated as "Laibin Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine." The hospital has 19 primary clinical departments, with TCM gynecology, encephalopathy, anorectal, and Yao medicine as key specialties. Highlighting TCM内涵 and ethnic medicine characteristics, TCM gynecology was recognized as a key specialty by Guangxi TCM Administration, autonomous region TCM characteristic advantage specialty, and TCM characteristic nursing demonstration ward. Orthopedics and traumatology was recognized as autonomous region key bone injury specialty and TCM characteristic nursing demonstration ward, with TCM treatment rate exceeding 93.2%. The hospital is equipped with advanced equipment including 24-slice spiral CT and 4D color ultrasound, with total equipment value of about 83 million yuan. As a Grade-A teaching hospital of Guangxi medical colleges and Laibin Branch of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine, it undertakes medical talent training tasks. The hospital has received honors including autonomous region demonstration TCM hospital, advanced unit for health system conduct construction, and autonomous region military-civilian co-construction advanced unit.
