About the Hospital
The Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University, founded in May 1958, is a historic tertiary Grade-A comprehensive teaching hospital in Guilin, Guangxi, and the directly affiliated hospital of Guilin Medical University. Located at No. 15 Lequn Road, Guilin, the hospital has over 1,600 beds, employs more than 3,300 staff members, including over 760 with senior professional titles and nearly 150 with doctoral degrees. The hospital has three National Clinical Key Specialty Construction Projects (Neurology, Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine) and seven Guangxi Medical and Health Key Disciplines (Pediatrics, Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Medical Oncology, Neurology, Gastroenterology). It has established the Guangxi Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases and the Guangxi Clinical Research Center for Early Diagnosis and Treatment of Gastric Cancer. As a member of the International Emergency Rescue Center Network and an International SOS First Aid Center, the hospital serves as a National Drug Clinical Trial Base, providing emergency medical rescue and direct billing services for foreign patients. As a teaching hospital, it undertakes clinical medicine education for Guilin Medical University, training doctoral and master's students. The hospital is equipped with advanced medical equipment including PET/CT, 256-slice spiral CT, and 3.0T MRI, demonstrating regional advantages in neurological diseases, critical care, and early diagnosis and treatment of digestive system tumors.
