About the Hospital
Guigang People's Hospital is a comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research. Founded in 1938, it is the only tertiary Grade-A hospital in Guigang City and serves as the Eighth Affiliated Hospital and Eighth Clinical Medical College of Guangxi Medical University. Upholding the hospital spirit of "Benevolence, Dedication, Practicality, Innovation," the hospital has served the people of Guigang and surrounding areas for over 80 years as a key medical center in southeastern Guangxi. With 1,400 authorized beds and 2,020 employees, including 159 senior professionals and 185 with postgraduate degrees, the hospital operates over 40 clinical and medical technology departments. Leading specialties include Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Urology. The hospital holds three national center certifications: National Advanced Stroke Center, China Chest Pain Center, and China Atrial Fibrillation Center. It is a National Demonstration Center for Artificial Liver and Blood Purification Technology, with the clinical laboratory accredited under ISO15189 international standards. The hospital houses the Guangxi Digital Medicine and 3D Printing Clinical Medicine Research Center and a postdoctoral innovation practice base, with six intensive care units covering all specialties. As a teaching hospital of Guangxi Medical University, it trains undergraduate and graduate medical students with over one million annual outpatient visits. The hospital has received honors including Guangxi Civilized Unit and Guigang Advanced Unit.
