Xinqiao Hospital (Second Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University)

Xinqiao Hospital (Second Affiliated Hospital of Army Medical University) is a large comprehensive modern teaching hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, military health support, and services for the military. Founded in 1944, it is among the first batch of tertiary Grade A hospitals in China and one of the first batch of foreign-related designated hospitals in Chongqing. The hospital has 3,000 authorized beds and 49 clinical and medical technology departments, upholding the motto of "Loyalty, Excellence, Innovation, and Dedication." It possesses 10 national key disciplines, 4 PLA medical research institutes, and 6 PLA medical specialty centers. The hospital excels in orthopedics, gastroenterology, hematology, cardiology, and cardiac surgery, with over 500 hematopoietic stem cell transplants annually ranking first in western China and among the top five nationwide. On May 15, 2025, the world's first immune disease specialty center led by Academician Wu Yuzhang of the Chinese Academy of Engineering was officially established, marking the hospital's international leadership in immune disease diagnosis and treatment.
