People's Hospital of Chongqing Banan District (Affiliated Banan Hospital of Chongqing Medical University)

People's Hospital of Chongqing Banan District (Affiliated Banan Hospital of Chongqing Medical University), founded in 1940, is a tertiary Grade A comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, research, and prevention. In 2020, the hospital relocated to the new Longzhouwan campus covering 138 acres with 1,500 beds and was upgraded to a national tertiary Grade A comprehensive Hospital. In 2022, it became the Affiliated Banan Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. The hospital serves a population of approximately 1.5 million in Banan District and surrounding areas. The hospital possesses one Chongqing Public Health Key Discipline (Neurology), ten Chongqing Clinical Key Specialties (Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Infectious Diseases, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Endocrinology, TCM Geriatrics, TCM Dermatology, Clinical Nursing), and four Chongqing Characteristic Medical Specialties. It has established six emergency centers including a national standard Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The hospital has been honored as one of "China's Top 100 Hospitals" and is among the first batch of foreign medical service points in Chongqing.
