The Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University was established in 1892, formerly known as "Kuanren Hospital," making it the oldest Western medicine hospital in Chongqing. Today it is a large comprehensive tertiary Grade A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and preventive healthcare. With 2,580 authorized beds and nearly 4,000 maximum open beds across Yuzhong and Jiangnan campuses, the hospital upholds the philosophy of "Care, Focus, Innovation" and the spirit of "Kuanren and Benevolence."
