Wushan County People's Hospital, founded in 1941, is located in Wushan County in the heart of the Three Gorges on the Yangtze River. It is a national Grade 3 comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, teaching, research, and prevention, currently striving for Grade 3A accreditation. The hospital operates across three campuses: Jingtang, Hongshiliang, and Zaoyang, covering a total area of 160 mu with a building area of 161,000 square meters. It has 1,150 authorized beds and 1,205 actual beds, featuring 28 clinical departments and 8 medical technology departments. As Wushan Hospital of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and Wushan Branch of Chongqing University Cancer Hospital, it possesses 8 municipal clinical key specialties and 3 municipal characteristic specialties. The hospital has established the first "water-land-air" comprehensive rescue system in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. With 1,020 staff members including 942 medical professionals and 112 with senior professional titles, it has been honored as one of the first "Thousand County Project" demonstration hospitals, "Bethune Spirit Model Hospital," "Beautiful Hospital," and "National Women's Civilization Post," and is among the first batch of foreign-related medical service points in Chongqing.
