Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University

Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University (Chongqing Stomatological Hospital, College of Stomatology of Chongqing Medical University), originated in 1943 and founded in July 1955, is one of the first three provincial-level stomatological hospitals established in China and currently the only tertiary Grade-A stomatological specialty hospital in Chongqing integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, healthcare, and emergency services. The hospital has a total construction area of 73,000 square meters, with two campuses—Northern Campus and Shangqingsi Campus—and three outpatient departments: Longhu Guangnian Outpatient Department, U City Tianjie Outpatient Department, and Third Affiliated Hospital Outpatient Department, forming a "one hospital, two campuses, multiple outpatient departments" development pattern. The hospital has 100 authorized beds and 546 dental comprehensive treatment chairs, with annual outpatient visits exceeding one million, ranking among the top in China in service scale. The hospital currently has over 1,000 employees, including more than 900 professional and technical personnel. The hospital has a National Clinical Key Specialty in Orthodontics and a National Clinical Key Specialty Construction Project in Endodontics, and Stomatology is a key discipline of Chongqing. The hospital is a doctoral degree authorization point for the first-level discipline of Stomatology and a professional doctoral degree authorization point for Stomatology, with a national-level postdoctoral research workstation. The hospital has established cooperative relationships with renowned institutions in the Netherlands (University of Groningen), New Zealand (University of Otago), the United States (University of Chicago), and other countries. As one of Chongqing's first foreign-related medical service points, it provides professional stomatological medical services for international patients. The hospital has outstanding advantages in orthodontics, dental implantology, and endodontics, innovatively developing new technologies such as clinical application of AI robots in implant surgery and computer-assisted navigation treatment.
