Chongqing University Affiliated Fuling Hospital

Chongqing University Affiliated Fuling Hospital was founded in 1914, originally known as "Fuling Gospel Hospital" established by the Christian Anglo-American Association from Toronto, Canada (renamed "Renji Hospital" in 1931). It is one of the oldest hospitals in southeastern Chongqing. The hospital was approved as a tertiary Grade A hospital in 2002 and officially became a directly affiliated hospital of Chongqing University in June 2021, changing its name to Chongqing University Affiliated Fuling Hospital in April 2022. The hospital operates on a "one hospital, three campuses" model, comprising Jiangnan Campus (main campus), High-tech Zone Campus (future main campus), and Sihuan Road Campus, covering a total area of 275 mu with 210,000 square meters of building space. It has 1,730 authorized beds, 1,800 open beds, and 2,239 staff members. The hospital has 49 clinical departments and has established 34 municipal key specialties and clinical centers, including Neurosurgery (Chongqing Key Discipline), Cardiology, Hepatobiliary Surgery, and Gastroenterology. It serves as a National Standardized Residency Training Base, National Drug Clinical Trial Institution, National Advanced Stroke Center, National Standard Chest Pain Center, and National Standard Heart Failure Center. The hospital was approved as one of the first batch of foreign-related medical service points in Chongqing in 2024, providing healthcare services to the southeastern region of Chongqing.
