Tianjin Teda Hospital is located in the core area of Binhai New Area. It is a public tertiary Class B general hospital invested and built by Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area Administrative Committee, and is a directly affiliated hospital of Tianjin University, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, preventive healthcare, and rehabilitation. The hospital has a building area of 78,000 square meters, 510 open beds, 34 clinical departments, 10 medical technology departments, and 960 employees. The hospital has a postdoctoral research workstation approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and serves as a base for doctoral and master's student supervisors. Critical Care Medicine, Neurosurgery, Neurology, ENT Head and Neck Surgery, and Nursing are rated as key disciplines of Binhai New Area, with Anesthesiology and Orthopedics as hospital characteristic disciplines. As a training base for emergency, ICU, operating room, and hemodialysis specialized nurses of Tianjin Health Commission, the hospital undertakes important teaching and training functions. In 2019, it became a "Advanced Stroke Center" recognized by the National Health Commission, and in 2022, it became a Tianjin municipal trauma center, capable of coordinated sea, air, and land transfer for emergency treatment.
