Taiyuan Second People's Hospital, also known as Taiyuan Red Cross Bo'ai Hospital and Taiyuan Geriatric Hospital, is a secondary Grade-A general hospital directly affiliated with Taiyuan Health Commission. It is the sole International Medical Designated Hospital for Foreign Guests in Shanxi Province. Located at No. 72 Fuxi Street, Taiyuan, Shanxi Province, the hospital covers an area of 11,000 square meters with a building area of 39,000 square meters. It has 875 employees including 727 medical and technical personnel, 710 authorized beds, and 65 departments. Designated in 2003 as the only International Medical Designated Hospital for Foreign Guests in Shanxi Province, the hospital has over 20 years of experience serving international patients. The hospital cooperates with Israel in diabetic foot negative pressure wound therapy, designated as a demonstration base by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, with Professor Morris Topaz, Director of the Tel Aviv Plastic Surgery Center in Israel, as a visiting professor.
