Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, founded in 1907 as the General Hospital of the Chinese Red Cross Society, is a tertiary A-level comprehensive hospital designated by the National Health Commission, affiliated with Fudan University, and named by the Chinese Red Cross Society. It is one of the earliest medical institutions in China to provide international medical services. The International Medical Center, established in 1989, has served over 1 million patients from more than 100 countries and regions, serving as the designated medical institution for 10 consulates general in Shanghai including the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Canada.
