About the Hospital
Jinan Central Hospital, founded in 1958, is the first public hospital in Jinan, a Shandong provincial regional medical center, and a large-scale tertiary A-level comprehensive hospital. Since its establishment, it has been one of the three teaching hospitals of Shandong Medical College, and is now the Affiliated Central Hospital of Shandong First Medical University. The hospital integrates medical care, education, research, prevention, healthcare, emergency, rehabilitation, and community services, operating the central campus and east campus with 3,097 authorized beds, annual outpatient visits exceeding 2.23 million, and annual discharges of 121,000. The hospital has 4 National Clinical Key Specialties (Burns, Cardiovascular Medicine, Neurology, Emergency Medicine) and 14 Provincial Clinical Key Specialties, leading in the province in burn and plastic surgery, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease diagnosis and treatment, complex critical disease rescue, and tumor treatment. The Jinan International Healthcare Center, established in 2009 with municipal government approval, has served international patients from 53 countries, maintains direct billing partnerships with 21 international medical insurance institutions, providing outpatient, inpatient, health examination, and international referral services with full nurse accompaniment throughout the visit. The hospital has a postdoctoral research workstation and academician workstation, maintains academic exchanges and cooperation with the UK, Germany, Japan, South Korea and other countries, and has been awarded honors including National Trustworthy Model Hospital, National Hospital Innovation Award, and Provincial Civilized Unit.
