Henan Provincial Third People's Hospital is a Grade-A tertiary general hospital directly affiliated with the Henan Provincial Health Commission and a designated hospital for cadre health care in Henan Province. Located in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, the hospital operates three campuses: Zhengdong Campus (adjacent to the provincial government), West Campus, and 857 Campus. The hospital has 1,800 approved beds, 2,113 staff members, 1,903 professional medical personnel, and 230 senior specialists. It possesses one National Clinical Key Specialty construction project (Spinal Minimally Invasive Surgery), four Henan Provincial Medical Key (Cultivation) Disciplines, and six Henan Provincial Clinical Key (Cultivation) Specialties. The Spinal Minimally Invasive Surgery Department, established in 1998, has completed over 50,000 spinal endoscopic surgeries, making it one of the centers with the highest number of such procedures worldwide. In November 2019, the China-Germany Spinal Minimally Invasive Exchange Center and Training Center were established, with German spine master Professor Daniel J. Rosenthal visiting twice annually for consultations, surgical guidance, and academic exchanges. The hospital's International Spinal Endoscopy Training Program has conducted 188 sessions, and the Intervertebral Disc Disease Specialty Alliance covers 139 hospitals across 22 provinces plus one international sister hospital (Pakistan). Over 600 domestic and international experts have visited for exchanges.
