Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University is a comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital and home to the National Clinical Research Center for Nervous System Diseases. Founded in 1956, it undertakes national functions including nervous system disease diagnosis/treatment guidance and stroke prevention/control. Specializing in neuroscience, its Neurosurgery department has ranked first nationally in the Fudan Hospital Rankings for consecutive years, earning the reputation as "the hall of Chinese neurosurgery." The hospital has served international patients since its founding, with the International Department officially established in 2018, making it one of Beijing's first international healthcare reform pilot institutions (17 total).
