Peking University People's Hospital

Founded in 1918 as one of China's earliest national Western medicine hospitals, Peking University People's Hospital is now a major tertiary Grade-A comprehensive hospital shouldering the dual national mandates of the National Trauma Medicine Center and the National Clinical Research Center for Blood System Diseases. For over a century, the hospital has practiced the philosophy of "Benevolence First, Patient Supreme," maintaining nationally leading positions in hematology, thoracic surgery, and orthopedic oncology, with comprehensive strength consistently ranking among the top in the Fudan Hospital Rankings. The hospital has 1,400 beds, over 40 clinical departments, and more than 4,000 employees. As early as 2002, it established the International Medical Department on the third floor of the VIP Service Building, offering multilingual services in English, Japanese, and Korean, supporting international insurance direct billing, and maintaining transparent specialist consultation fees. As an affiliated hospital of Peking University Health Science Center, it has made outstanding contributions to medical education with a well-established doctoral and master's training system, handles over 2 million outpatient visits annually, and has been honored with the National Civilized Unit and National May 1st Labor Medal.
