Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University is home to the National Children's Medical Center and is a tertiary Grade-A pediatric specialty hospital. Founded in 1942, it is one of China's earliest children's specialty hospitals. The hospital undertakes national functions including pediatric disease diagnosis/treatment guidance and children's public health emergency response. Since its founding, it has served international pediatric patients with a long history of international medical services. Adhering to the motto of "Public Service, Compassion, Diligence, Harmony," the hospital is dedicated to safeguarding children's health and is acclaimed as "the cradle of China's pediatricians." Located in Xicheng District with 900 beds, 30+ clinical departments, and 3,000+ employees, leading specialties include Hematology, Neurology, Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine, and Pediatric Surgery. The hospital consistently ranks first nationally in the Fudan Hospital Rankings for pediatric specialty. The International Medical Department features independent ENT and dental clinics, ultrasound imaging facilities, high-end family-style parent-accompanied wards, and offers English, Japanese, and Korean services with international insurance direct billing. As the Pediatric Medical College of Capital Medical University, it trains doctoral and master's students with over 3 million annual outpatient visits.
