Beijing Chao-Yang Hospital, Capital Medical University, founded in 1958, is a large tertiary Grade-A comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research, affiliated with Capital Medical University. The hospital features respiratory and critical care medicine as its core strength, with this discipline leading nationally, while its Hyperbaric Oxygen Department also leads nationally and its Cardiac Center possesses outstanding capabilities. The hospital has accumulated extensive experience in diagnosing and treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung disease, carbon monoxide poisoning, and ischemic diseases. Adhering to the philosophy "People-Oriented, Patient Supreme," the hospital undertakes important functions including Beijing municipal healthcare services and respiratory disease diagnosis and treatment guidance. With three campuses—Main, Shijingshan, and Changying—the hospital has 1,800 authorized beds, over 50 clinical departments, and more than 4,000 employees.
