Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College

Yijishan Hospital of Wannan Medical College is a historic comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital in Wuhu, Anhui Province. Founded in 1888 by the American Methodist Church, it is one of the earliest Western medicine hospitals in Anhui Province, known as "the First Hospital in Southern Anhui." As the First Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College, the hospital upholds the spirit of "Benevolence, Sincerity, Innovation, and Dedication" and has developed over more than a century into the medical center of the Wannan region. Located at No. 2 Zheshan West Road, Jinghu District, Wuhu, the hospital has over 40 clinical and medical technology departments, more than 2,000 beds, and features the National Clinical Key Specialty of Neurology, along with provincial key specialties including Cardiology and General Surgery. The Neurology department achieves advanced domestic standards in stroke, epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease diagnosis and treatment, while General Surgery leads in laparoscopic techniques. In May 2023, the hospital joined the MediLink direct billing network to provide international medical services for commercial insurance clients. As the clinical college of Wannan Medical College, it trains doctoral and master's students with over 1.5 million annual outpatient visits and 80,000 annual discharges. The hospital has received honors including National Health System Advanced Collective and Anhui Provincial Civilized Unit.
