About the Hospital
The First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China (Anhui Provincial Hospital) was established in 1898. It is a large-scale tertiary A-level comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, teaching, research, and prevention, with over 120 years of history, making it one of the oldest hospitals in Anhui Province. In 2017, it became the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China, affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is a national regional medical center construction unit. Upholding the motto of "Benevolence, Sincerity, Truth-seeking, and Innovation" and carrying forward over a century of medical heritage, the hospital is a leading medical institution in Anhui Province's healthcare field. The hospital has two campuses: the Central District and the South District, with over 5,000 open beds, an annual outpatient volume exceeding 3 million, and annual surgeries surpassing 100,000, with a substantial medical staff team. Neurology and Cardiology are national clinical key specialties, with Oncology, Organ Transplantation, and Cardiovascular Intervention holding significant influence in China. Organ transplantation technology and cardiovascular interventional treatment technology have reached domestic leading levels. The International Medical Department was established in September 2017, being the first public tertiary A-level hospital in Anhui Province to provide special medical services. Located in the special consultation area on the 4th floor of the outpatient building, it provides special outpatient services, multi-disciplinary team (MDT) consultation, and renowned medical expert team consultations. All attending physicians are associate senior level or above, with a green channel for high-level talent medical services. As an affiliated hospital of USTC, it undertakes multi-level medical talent training for undergraduates, graduate students, and residents, and has cultivated numerous outstanding medical professionals for the nation.
