The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University

The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University is a comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research, ranking among the strongest in Anhui Province. Founded in 1926, it was among the first batch of hospitals approved as tertiary Grade-A by the former Ministry of Health and has been listed in China's Top 100 Hospitals for 11 consecutive years. With two campuses (Main Campus and High-tech Campus), 4,990 beds, over 40 clinical departments, and more than 5,000 employees, the hospital's Dermatology department is a National Key Discipline, while Nephrology, Endocrinology, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine are among its strongest specialties. The International Medical Department at the High-tech Campus opened in March 2019 with 16 beds, where medical staff are proficient in foreign languages, providing premium healthcare services to foreign friends and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. As the clinical college of Anhui Medical University, it trains doctoral and master's students with approximately 5 million annual outpatient visits and over 226,700 annual discharges. The hospital is equipped with the da Vinci Surgical System, the only one in Anhui Province, leading in minimally invasive surgery. It has received honors including National Civilized Unit and National May 1st Labor Medal.
