The General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University is a comprehensive tertiary Grade-A hospital integrating medical care, teaching, and research. It has achieved A+ rating in the national tertiary public hospital performance assessment for five consecutive years, with its best ranking at 58th place. Founded in 1935 as the Ningxia Provincial Hospital, it has developed into a modern medical center covering 248.22 mu with a building area of 324,346 square meters and 3,500 authorized beds. The hospital has three directly affiliated branches: the Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Hospital, the Cancer Hospital, and the Stomatological Hospital, with 3.616 million total patient visits in 2024. The hospital holds 8 National Clinical Key Specialties, including Critical Care Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Neurosurgery, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery, Respiratory Medicine, General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, and Oncology, leading in medical service volume and efficiency in Ningxia.
