About the Hospital
Sichuan University West China Lecheng Hospital, located in Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, is a non-profit general hospital invested by Hainan Development Holdings and fully managed by West China Hospital of Sichuan University. Construction began in January 2021, and the hospital officially opened on November 26, 2024, with phase one covering 63 mu (approximately 4.2 hectares) and 60,000 square meters of building area, offering 200 beds. As the second off-campus cooperative hospital established by Sichuan University, it integrates premium medical resources from West China Hospital, West China Second Hospital, West China Stomatology Hospital, and West China Fourth Hospital. The hospital aims to become an internationally leading innovative frontier medical center and clinical research hospital. It features specialized centers for biomedical new technology and cell therapy, oral disease diagnosis and treatment, health management, and day treatment. Leveraging the pioneering policies of Boao Lecheng Pilot Zone for special medical services, the hospital conducts real-world studies of innovative drugs and devices and clinical translation of biomedical new technologies. Upholding West China's spirit of "leading innovation, national responsibility, and international standards," the hospital provides high-quality medical services including appointment-based diagnosis and treatment and multidisciplinary integrated management for patients from home and abroad.
