Shanghai Children's Medical Center Hainan Hospital

Shanghai Children's Medical Center Hainan Hospital, established in 1952, is the only Grade-A tertiary public maternal and child health specialty hospital in southern Hainan. Since 2017, it has been fully entrusted to Shanghai Children's Medical Center. In May 2022, it was approved as a National Regional Children's Medical Center construction unit, and in July 2022, it was officially designated as a Grade-A tertiary maternal and child health hospital. The hospital covers 46.7 mu with a Phase I building area of approximately 100,000 square meters, has 500 open beds, 40 clinical specialties, and nearly 1,000 staff members. Pediatrics and obstetrics are national key clinical specialties under construction. In April 2025, the International Medical Department was launched, providing one-stop precision services for foreign nationals and high-demand families, including the "Golden Coconut" premium maternity package. Upholding the philosophy of "Everything for Women and Children," the hospital aims to become a modern maternal and child medical center serving southern Hainan, the entire province, and Southeast Asia.
