Hainan Provincial People's Hospital Healthcare Center is the oldest medical institution in Hainan Province, founded in 1885 as a tertiary Grade-A comprehensive hospital and the Affiliated Hainan Hospital of Hainan Medical University. Covering nearly 400 acres with a building area of 340,000 square meters and 2,700 beds, it is the largest comprehensive hospital in Hainan Province. The hospital has two campuses: Xiuying Campus and Longhua Campus. The Healthcare Center, opened in November 2010, covers 40 acres with a building area of 20,400 square meters and 150 beds, responsible for healthcare services for central leadership during visits to Hainan and provincial leaders, integrating medical care, healthcare, physical examination, teaching, and research. The hospital holds 6 National Clinical Key Specialties: Cardiovascular Medicine, Neurosurgery, Critical Care Medicine, General Surgery, Medical Imaging, and Clinical Nursing; and 8 Provincial Medical Key Disciplines: Neurosurgery, General Surgery, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Critical Care Medicine, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, and Hematology. As the provincial healthcare center, it provides high-end physical examinations and special consultation services for high-level populations.
